  • Tektonische Prozesse üben eine starke Kontrolle auf die Landschaftsentwicklung in Gebieten aktiver kontinentaler Extension aus und spiegeln sich in der Topographie, Geomorphologie und dem räumlichen Muster der Erosion wider. Die Exhumation des zentralen Menderes Massif (Westtürkei) fand durch die diachrone Aktivität des Gediz und Büyük Menderes detachments statt.
