AB  - Collecting effort data is a strongly neglected problem of every day’s practice and research. The development, design and application concept of a system for manual effort collection is presented. Research methodology calls such a system a measurement tool, which has to realize the correctness requirements on the data. Examples of results from a database produced by 40 developers in five locations over 6½ years are showed.
