Abstract
The world is changing at an ever growing pace. New technologies and a globalized economy require new knowledge and skills as new individual and societal challenges arise. Learning in school for life becomes increasingly inadequate. Instead, life-long and life-wide learning becomes more and more important. In this white paper, we, that is, the Center of Excellence Cognitive Interaction Technology (CITEC), present our vision of Education 4.0, where cognitive interaction technologies play a key role in addressing some of the key challenges in life-long learning.
